AHA HeartCode® ACLS Course Description
HeartCode® ACLS is the American Heart Association’s blended learning option for Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) training. This format combines online learning with an in-person hands-on skills session to provide flexible and comprehensive training.
Who Should Take This Course?
This course is designed for healthcare professionals who manage or participate in the care of patients experiencing cardiovascular emergencies, including:

Other Allied Health Personnel
Course Format:
Part 1 – Online Learning (Self-Paced):
Complete the AHA’s interactive, adaptive eLearning module at your own pace. This includes:
Video-based lessons
Realistic patient scenarios
Adaptive testing
Final exam
Part 2 – In-Person Skills Session:
After completing the online portion, students must attend a hands-on session with an AHA Instructor. This session includes:
High-quality CPR practice
Airway management
Megacode simulation
Use of AEDs
Team dynamics
What You’ll Learn:
Recognition and early management of cardiac and respiratory arrest
Airway management
ACLS algorithms and pharmacology
Effective team communication and leadership in resuscitation
Post-cardiac arrest care
Course Completion Requirements:
Successful completion of the online HeartCode ACLS module
Active participation in the in-person skills session
Pass the skills tests and Megacode evaluation
Certification:
Upon successful completion, students will receive an American Heart Association ACLS Provider eCard, valid for 2 years.
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
The AHA BLS Provider Course is designed to train healthcare professionals to recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies, perform high-quality CPR, and provide early use of an AED. This course is the gold standard for CPR certification in clinical and healthcare settings.

This course is intended for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a variety of in-facility and prehospital settings, including:

High-quality Adult, Child, and Infant CPR
Chain of Survival for both in-hospital and out-of-hospital scenarios
Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
Effective team dynamics during multi-rescuer resuscitation
Rescue breathing and bag-mask techniques
Relief of choking for responsive and unresponsive victims
Course Format Options:
In-Person (Classroom): Traditional instructor-led session with hands-on practice.
Blended Learning (HeartCode® BLS): Complete the online course at your own pace, then attend a short in-person skills check.
Certification:
